What we offer

The DAjEE ELO! Zesummeliewen Ouni Rassismus non-profit wants to support Luxembourg communes and their Intercultural Living Together Commissions – CCVEI – in setting up an effective living-together policy, focused above all on raising awareness of the problems of racism and discrimination. Our mission is to promote equality, diversity and intercultural living together by making citizens aware of the issues linked to racial discrimination. To do this, we offer communes and CCVEI advice, a set of educational projects, awareness workshops and community events aimed at creating an open and constructive dialogue, all year round, between the different cultures and communities living side by side in the communes.

Our vision

We want to redefine a fair Luxembourg society, without racism or discrimination, through awareness.

Our mission

  • Advise communes and/or Communal Commissions for Intercultural Living Together on setting up actions that help raise awareness of the problems of racism.
  • Motivate intercultural living together through awareness and by highlighting the richness diasporas can bring to Luxembourg society.

Zesummeliewen Ouni Rassismus.
  • Support communes and Intercultural Living Together Commissions in using inclusive communication, free of any excluding nuance.
  • Create maintain and energise a whole network involving those working on living together in Luxembourg: the Ministry of the Family, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception, the associations and institutions concerned, the communes and their Intercultural Living Together Commissions.

Alcinda Lopes

Alcinda Lopes

My name is Alcinda Lopes. I was born in Luxembourg to Cape Verdean parents who have lived here for more than 50 years. I am a counter manager at POST Luxembourg, in charge of the northern region. I am also an elected municipal councillor in Schieren and chair of the local Living Together Commission. As a Luxembourg woman with an immigrant background, I have faced the realities of integration and diversity first-hand. That personal, on-the-ground experience motivated me to commit actively to a more inclusive society. In that continuity, I am a co-founder and treasurer of the DAJEE ELO! Zesummeliewen Ouni Rassismus non-profit, which works against ethno-racial discrimination and promotes intercultural dialogue in Luxembourg communes. Through concrete projects, we want to contribute to a respectful, supportive and lasting way of living together.

Caty Diop

Caty Diop

My name is Caty Diop. I am French of Senegalese origin and have lived in Luxembourg for about fifteen years. I like to say I am from here and from there. I am a mother of three children who grew up in Luxembourg and are from here. I have worked in the social field for about ten years and was a project manager promoting living together at Caritas Luxembourg and then at HUT-Hëllef Um Terrain. I therefore have a particular sensitivity for everything concerning cultural and social diversity, and the problems of racism and discrimination. I am Secretary of my commune's Intercultural Living Together Commission and a member of the Conseil Supérieur du Vivre ensemble Interculturel. Wanting to go further in the actions I wish to carry out, I am a founding member and president of the DAJEE ELO! Zesummeliewen Ouni Rassismus association. My calling? A dream... the dream of a life where we no longer need an association to raise awareness of living together without racism or discrimination.
